2020 Haas ST-15 CNC Lathe

The 2020 Haas ST-15 is an 8.3-inch-chuck CNC turning centre that slips easily into tight cells yet muscles through production work. Its A2-6 spindle spins bar to 4000 RPM, while a 12-station bolt-on turret and automatic tool presetter drill, tap and profile in one seamless cycle. Auto-door loading, a belt-type chip conveyor and a 30-gallon coolant tank keep parts and chips moving without operator fatigue, and rapid traverses of 1200 IPM plus a 16-inch Z stroke dispatch shafts and flanges swiftly.

Compared with the basic Haas ST-10, the ST-15 raises bar capacity from 2-inch to 2.5-inch, boosts continuous spindle power from 15 HP to 20 HP and swaps the 6-inch chuck for an 8.3-inch hydraulic unit, yet both lathes share the A2-6 nose, WiFi-enabled HaasConnect control and 0.001-degree C-axis accuracy. In short, the ST-10 remains the nimble choice for smaller parts, while the ST-15 delivers extra torque, longer Z travel and heavier work-holding to conquer tougher alloys and larger diameters without losing Haas’s ease of use.
