The 2017 DMG Mori Sprint 20/5 Swiss Lathe is a high-performance, 7-axis turning center engineered for precision, flexibility, and compact efficiency. Designed for small-part, high-volume production, it offers a bar capacity of 0.8", a maximum turning diameter of 0.8", and a maximum turning length of up to 23.6" (to be verified). The machine features two integrated spindle motors with 10,000 RPM max speed—one delivering 3 HP and 10.3 ft-lbs of torque, and the other 2 HP and 3.5 ft-lbs of torque—both with C-axis control to 0.0001° resolution.

Equipped with two tool carriers and a total of 23 tool pockets, the Sprint 20/5 supports complex operations with 6 driven tools spinning up to 6,000 RPM. Driven tooling offers 1.2 HP and 1 ft-lb of torque, enabling live milling and drilling with precision. Its robust Fanuc 32i Model B control ensures high-speed machining with intuitive operation.

This unit comes fully outfitted with an LNS GT326-E barfeeder, spindle liner, and dual-channel safety circuit protection. Also included is a Mayfran standard-duty chip conveyor (right side), a coolant kit for water-soluble machining, and a changeover kit for switching between steady and sliding headstock configurations.
