The 2020 Takisawa TMX-4000ST Multitasking CNC Lathe is a high-performance machining center designed for precision, flexibility, and automation. Featuring a Fanuc 31i-B(5) control with a 19” Panel iH Pro display, this machine provides continuous 5-Axis machining at the milling head, enabling complex part production with minimal setups.

With dual 4,000 RPM spindles (A2-8 spindle noses) and Kitagawa BB-210 chucks, the TMX-4000ST handles turning diameters up to 19.69” and turning lengths up to 59”. The Y-Axis travel of 10.24” enhances milling versatility, while the 3.15” bar capacity supports efficient bar-fed operations. A 12-station lower turret and 120-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with 12,000 RPM CAPTO C6 tooling ensure fast tool changes for high-speed production.

Equipped with automation and monitoring enhancements, the TMX-4000ST includes a Renishaw OTS Optical Tool Setter with tool breakage detection, manual tool eye, robot interface, and an auto door for seamless integration with automation systems. The Raku Raku Monitor 3 and Anti-Crash system improve operational safety and efficiency. For optimized performance, the machine features a 217 PSI coolant pump for the tool spindle and hydraulic actuators on both the main and sub-spindles (Kitagawa SS1881K & SMW Autoblok SIN-S125). A finger-type parts unloader with a conveyor system ensures smooth part handling and workflow continuity.
